Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Instrumentation Engineer specify, design, size and select all type of instruments and actuated valves including control valves, shutdown valves, on-off valves, etc. They understand and apply client specifications as well as international standards and industrial best practices. They also specify and provide technical requirements for all instrumentation bulk material as well as instrumentation cables.They are also responsible for managing vendors and suppliers for all instrumentation equipment, as well as supporting installation at shop or site. Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase. Raise clarifications and deviations from client requirements in the ITT. Create the instrumentation design basis and project specifications for instrumentation in accordance with client s requirements. Provide technical requirements for instrumentation and preliminary MTO s for instrumentation bulk material during proposals. Size and specify instrumentation and communication cables. Define cable routing, prepare bulk material MTOs.
